Key forensic evidence will be under the spotlight as the trial of Amanada Knox for the murder of British student Meredith Kercher resumes.
Meredith, 20, was found with her throat cut after apparently refusing to join in a drug-fuelled sex game at their shared flat in the Italian city of Perugia, the court has heard.
Her flatmate Knox, 21, and Knox's ex-boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito, 25, deny murdering and sexually assaulting her.
Today fingerprint expert Agatino Giunta is expected to describe how only one fingerprint of Knox was found at the scene - on a glass - even though she lived in the flat. This may suggest the flat was cleaned after the murder, the court will hear.
The trial usually sits on a Friday and Saturday but the court is sitting today becase Saturday is a public holiday in Italy.
The case is expected to last until at least October.
